Six Flags Great Adventure

Alonza Bray

Located on the previously owned Switlik family property at the end of the tip of Jackson, New Jersey, Six Flags represents a larger than life amusement park for people of all ages to come for entertainment, food, and pure fun. Six Flags is home to the world’s tallest and fastest roller coaster, Kingda Ka, as well as the world’s biggest Ferris wheel when it opened in 1972.

I was surprised to know that this amusement park started as a just Great Adventure and then happened to be purchased by the company Six Flags. I was also shocked when I learned that the park had just opened in 1972. The park is still very young and brings a sort of newness and tradition to its surrounding areas that makes it unique

Lastly, I learned that Six Flags was built in the middle of New Jersey to attract visitors from the two major cities, New York and Philadelphia, Pa. Also, the park is the only Six Flags named Six Flags Great Adventure.
