Washington Monument, Baltimore, Maryland

David Kelly

The Baltimore Washington Monument is a tribute to the nation’s first president and he is wearing a toga. It was the first Washington Monument in the United States and was molded out of marble from a quarry right down the street from where I live. It brought to my attention that things that you are familiar with and see regularly could be landmarks that hold a lot of significance in American history.
