Morven Museum and Gardens

Christopher Corona

The Morven Mansion is located in the heart of Princeton. It represents our state’s history and also, our nation’s. The Morven has played a vital role within our nation for over two hundred years, housing Richard Stockton a signer of the Declaration of Independence who later served as our state’s Governor Mansion. What struck me at first was the fact of the way it was preserved and restored to its original state. The Morven’s condition is immaculate and is a historical beauty.

Lastly, the historical monument made me think about not only our state’s formation, but the formation of our nation. It is astonishing to think that at one point of the Morven’s history that the British were in control of it during the American Revolutionary War. The monument really enlightens your senses of American Culture and has such an historical impact on our state and nation.
