The Liberty Bell

The Liberty Bell is on permanent display in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Liberty Bell Center on Market Street, between Fifth and Sixth Streets. The bell represents American freedom and the first moments of our declared independence from England.
What was intriguing to me about this monument was that it was cracked shortly after it arrived in Philadelphia. Many claim that the bell was even cracked the first time it had been rung. By exploring this claim, I learned how and why the Liberty Bell is named what it is, and that it originally was an ordinary bell with no significant meaning.
